a taste of the uk here in california!
Located in the historic Orleans building in the Old Sacramento Waterfront District, Bear & Crown opened in August 2023. Our large restaurant space features a full bar, lounge seating space, cozy booths, a watch room for sports, pool table lounge, and a large outdoor patio with a fire pit. Here you can relax, unwind, watch the game, or book an event to make lasting memories with your family and mates.
We’re a family-owned and operated business with roots in the UK. Our owners, Jesse & Joe, share a passion for food and British culture. Jesse hails from Phoenix, AZ, bringing over 18 years of hospitality experience. Joe was born in London, England before moving with his family to the west coast. The two have lived in Sacramento since 2017 and are excited to be a part of Sacramento's thriving food scene downtown.
Our vision is to bring together a traditional British pub experience with a modern California spin, right to your neighbourhood. We guarantee good times for all!

We're excited to launch the expansion of Bear & Crown into British imports, gifts, and tea/coffee. Check out our quaint import boutique featuring a selection of your favourite British snacks, condiments, and to-go food, as well as gifts, toys, household items, and novelty items. Behind the counter, we serve custom tea made to order as well as locally roasted coffee.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday Noon - 6PM, Friday through Sunday 11AM -7PM
We were inspired to bring a taste of the UK to Bear & Crown by our founder, Joe's upbringing as a British immigrant growing up in the United States. His local British import shop was a favourite spot for his family and we're excited to bring those same comforts from across the pond to Downtown Sacramento, both for international expats and local Californian's looking to try something different!
